We lost the game, but victory was ours!

On 23th October the final of the Rugby World Cup was played out, the XV de France versus the All Blacks.

The French team provoked their opponent during the "Haka" with a "V" formation (for "Victoire") which cost them a fine!

The All Blacks did a try and scored a penalty. France scored a try and transformed it. The All Blacks won 8 points to 7.

Maybe France didn’t deserve to be in the final but they did us proud! The French team gave their all during the match. For sure, next time, we will win!

There was criticism of the referee's leniency towards the All Blacks..

  1. As we can see in the picture, the fight was rough like evidenced by Morgan Parra's eyes! Indeed, they was the French who played the best game but it wasn't reward. Yet, with this great team, france must win the 6 Nations Tournament!

  2. What a game!! As most of good French citizens, I frenecticly followed this magic World Cup final. Obviously, as most of us noticed, the French gladiators played against 16 players. The last one was holding a whistle...
During the whole game, the "referee" accorded way too much penalties, and most were unjustified. Furthermore, when Morgan Parra got hit in the face by an opponent's knee, a red card was given. That probaly led the referee to be more clement towards the All Blacks, let's say much more clement!!

  4. I was so sad like all the French players: I cried too^^. However we can see that it was one of the most beautiful rugby matchs in the world. We saw a really big fight which was as good as anay you can tell from the picture of Morgan Parra and Aurélien Rougerie, the two players of Clermont.
Yet in my view, the real winners is our lovely French team.
I am sure that the second World Cup will be the good one!!!
