The unexpected duel
During the 17th stage, Cobo and Froome, two cyclists unknown of large public, fought for the first place of the stage and the same for "Vuelta".
One kilometer before the end, Froome attacked and only Cobo could folowed the english. Indeed the favourits, Nibali, Menchov and Rodiguez let go of the firsts.
Froome outdistanced the spanish as the latter could catch up the first. The english in a last effort past in front of Cobo and took the first place of this stage, since it was not enough to win the "Vuelta".
